DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in libvirt, which can be exploited
by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially
compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an integer overflow error in the
"virDomainGetVcpus()" function in src/libvirt.c. This can be
exploited to cause the daemon to crash or corrupt memory via a
specially crafted request sent to e.g. TCP port 16509.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in version 0.9.2. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Fixed in the GIT repository.
