Overview

A flaw was found in keycloak, where the default ECP binding flow allows other authentication flows to be bypassed. By exploiting this behavior, an attacker can bypass the MFA authentication by sending a SOAP request with an AuthnRequest and Authorization header with the user's credentials. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality and integrity.

The Red Hat Single Sign-On for OpenShift image provides an authentication server that you can use to log in centrally, log out, and register. You can also manage user accounts for web applications, mobile applications, and RESTful web services. This erratum releases a new image for Red Hat Single Sign-On 7.5.1 for use within the OpenShift Container Platform 3.10, OpenShift Container Platform 3.11, and within the OpenShift Container Platform 4.9 cloud computing Platform-as-a-Service for on-premise or private cloud deployments, aligning with the standalone product release. Issues addressed include bypass and information leakage vulnerabilities.
