Integer overflow in the dissect_sack_chunk function in epan/dissectors/packet-sctp.c in the SCTP dissector in Wireshark 1.8.x before 1.8.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted Duplicate TSN count.

Red Hat Security Advisory 2014-0341-01 - Wireshark is a network protocol analyzer. It is used to capture and browse the traffic running on a computer network. Multiple flaws were found in Wireshark. If Wireshark read a malformed packet off a network or opened a malicious dump file, it could crash or, possibly, execute arbitrary code as the user running Wireshark. Several denial of service flaws were found in Wireshark. Wireshark could crash or stop responding if it read a malformed packet off a network, or opened a malicious dump file.

Mandriva Linux Security Advisory 2013-055 - Infinite and large loops in ANSI MAP, BACapp, Bluetooth HCI, IEEE 802.3, LTP, and R3 dissectors have been fixed in Wireshark. Various other issues have also been addressed. This advisory provides the latest version of Wireshark which is not vulnerable to these issues.
