DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in VMware ESX Server and ESXi,
which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error in the
Service Location Protocol (SLPD) daemon. This can be exploited to
cause the daemon to consume significant CPU resources.
The vulnerability is reported in the following products:
* ESXi versions 4.0 and 4.1.
* ESX Server versions 4.0 and 4.1.
