DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in SSSD, which can be exploited by
malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the
"pam_parse_in_data_v2()" function in src/responder/pam/pamsrv_cmd.c
and can be exploited to trigger an endless loop and e.g. cause a
crash by sending specially crafted packages to SSSD.
The vulnerability is reported in version 1.5.0. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Fixed in the Trac repository.
