DESCRIPTION:
c00k1e monster has discovered two vulnerabilities in RealPlayer,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to integer truncation errors when
parsing image maps in RealMedia (.rm) files. This can be exploited to
cause heap-based buffer overflows via a specially crafted file.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.1.5 Build 12.0.0.879.
Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Upgrade to version 14.0.1.609, which is not affected.
