DESCRIPTION:
The Light Cosine has reported a vulnerability in Ricoh Aficio
products, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct
cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed via the URL to the Web Image monitor is not properly
sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of an affected site.
The vulnerability is reported in Ricoh Aficio MP4000, Ricoh Aficio
MP6000, and Ricoh Aficio MP8000 running Web Image monitor version
2.03. Other devices and versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Filter malicious character sequences in a proxy.
