DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in G Data TotalCare, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in "HookCentre.sys",
which can be exploited to dereference invalid memory and cause a
system crash.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2011 (HookCentre.sys file
version 3.1.10239.62) . Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Grant only trusted users access to affected systems.
