DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Novell ZENworks Handheld
Management, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise
a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the
ZfHIPCND.exe module and can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer
overflow via data sent to TCP port 2400.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in version 7 SP1.
SOLUTION:
Novell has issued a Field Test File (FTF) for testing (please see the
vendor's advisory for details).
