DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Netbiter webSCADA
WS100 and WS200, which can be exploited by malicious users to
disclose sensitive information and potentially compromise a
vulnerable system.
1) Input passed via the "page" parameter to cgi-bin/read.cgi is not
properly sanitised before being used to access files. This can be
exploited to read arbitrary file contents via directory traversal
sequences and URL-encoded NULL bytes.
2) Input passed via the "file" parameter to cgi-bin/read.cgi is not
properly verified before being used to access files. This can be
exploited to read arbitrary file contents by providing the absolute
path to a file.
3) An unspecified error in cgi-bin/read.cgi can be exploited to
upload arbitrary files. This can potentially be exploited to
compromise a vulnerable system.
SOLUTION:
Grant only trusted users access to the application.
