DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Exchange Server, which
can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site request
forgery attacks.
The vulnerability is caused due to Outlook Web Access allowing users
to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing
proper validity checks to verify the requests. This can be exploited
to e.g. set a auto-forward rule or change user preferences when a
logged-in user visits a specially crafted web page.
The vulnerability is reported in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 SP2
and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 SP1 and SP2.
SOLUTION:
The vulnerability is fixed in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 SP3.
