DESCRIPTION:
Sud0 has discovered a vulnerability in SopCast WebPlayer ActiveX
Control, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in sopocx.ocx
when handling the "ChannelName" property value and can be exploited
to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted
"sop://" URL string.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.2.9. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
