DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in the NextGEN Smooth Gallery
plugin for Wordpress, which can be exploited by malicious people to
conduct SQL injection attacks.

Input passed via the "galleryID" parameter to
wp-content/plugins/nextgen-smooth-gallery/nggSmoothFrame.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries in
wp-content/plugins/nextgen-smooth-gallery/nggSmoothSharedFunctions.php.
This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary
SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is
disabled.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.2. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
