DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Ipswitch IMail Server,
which can be exploited by malicious people to potentially compromise a
vulnerable system.

1) A boundary error in the List Mailer (imailsrv.exe) can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially
crafted message with multiple "Reply-To:" headers.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

2) A boundary error in the List Mailer (imailsrv.exe) can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly-long
string in the Subject field following the "?Q?" operator.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code but may
require a mailing list password.

3) A format string error in the Queue Manager (queuemgr.exe) within
SMTPDLL.dll can be exploited to corrupt memory via a specially
crafted NOTIFY parameter passed to the "RCPT TO:" command.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

4) A boundary error exists in the Queue Manager (queuemgr.exe) within
SMTPDLL.dll when copying strings from the NOTIFY parameter using
vsprintf() function. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based
buffer overflow via an overly-long string passed to the "RCPT TO:"
command.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

SOLUTION:
Reportedly fixed in the latest version 11.02.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
