TITLE:
PostgreSQL Two Vulnerabilities

DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in PostgreSQL, which can be
exploited by malicious users to bypass certain security restrictions
and compromise a vulnerable system.

1) An unspecified error in PL/Perl related to Safe.pm can be
exploited to execute arbitrary Perl code on the database server.

Successful exploitation requires authentication and that PL/Perl is
installed and enabled.

2) Insecure permissions on the "pltcl_modules" table can be exploited
to execute arbitrary Tcl code on the database server.

Successful exploitation requires authentication and that PL/Tcl is
installed and enabled.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions 8.4, 8.3, 8.2, 8.1, 8.0,
and 7.4.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 8.4.4, 8.3.11, 8.2.17, 8.1.21, 8.0.25, or 7.4.29.
