DESCRIPTION:
A weakness has been reported in Pidgin, which can be exploited by
malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The weakness is caused due to insufficient input validation in
libpurple's MSN protocol plugin when processing SLP packets related
to custom emoticons. This can be exploited to crash the application
via a specially crafted SLP message.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.7.0.
