DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in Xftp, which can be exploited
by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when sending certain
overly long commands to the server. This can be exploited to cause a
stack-based buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into connecting
to a malicious FTP server.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.0 build 0238. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not connect to untrusted FTP servers.
