DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in FlatPress, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.
The lastcomments plugin does not properly sanitise comment content
before displaying it to the user. This can be exploited to insert
arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious
comment is being listed by plugin.
Successful exploitation requires that the lastcomments plugin is
enabled.
The vulnerability is confirmed in the lastcomments plugin version 1.0
included in FlatPress version 0.909.1. Other versions may also be
affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
