DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in IBM Lotus Domino, which can be
exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and
potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the processing of LDAP
messages, which can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow
via a specially crafted LDAP message.
The vulnerability is reported in Lotus Domino 8.5 fix pack 1. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict network access to the LDAP service.
