DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Oracle Secure Backup, which can
be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the Oracle
Secure Backup Services daemon ("observiced.exe"). This can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by sending a
specially crafted packet to TCP port 10000 (default).
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code with
SYSTEM privileges.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 10.3.0.1 or apply patch set 10.2.0.5.
