DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in vBulletin, which can be
exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed via the "Home Page" field in the user profile section is
not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to
insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a
user's browser session in context of an affected site when the
malicious data is viewed.
The vulnerability is reported in version 3.8.4, 3.7.6, and 3.6.12.
Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.8.4 PL1, 3.7.6 PL1, or 3.6.12 PL2.
