SA36981
VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/36981/
DESCRIPTION:
Ubuntu has issued an update for pan. This fixes a vulnerability,
which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise
a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the
PartsBatch class when processing certain NZB files. This may be
exploited to cause a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code by
e.g. tricking a user into opening a specially crafted NZB file.
SOLUTION:
Apply updated packages.
