DESCRIPTION:
Luigi Auriemma has reported a vulnerability in Vietcong 2, which can
be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service)
or to potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error when using
the "CNS_AddTxt()" function to write console messages. This can be
exploited by e.g. connecting to an affected server using a nickname
containing format string specifiers.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 1.10 and prior. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted users only.
