SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA35867

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/35867/

DESCRIPTION:
Cyber-Zone has discovered a vulnerability in Audio Lib Player, which
can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing
of playlist files. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer
overflow by tricking a user into opening e.g. an ".m3u" file having an
overly long entry.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in a version downloaded 2009-07-21.
Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted playlists.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
