DESCRIPTION:
Core Security Technologies has reported a vulnerability in Awingsoft
Winds3D Viewer, which can be exploited by malicious people to
compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the
"GetURL()" method and can be exploited to execute arbitrary programs
on a system. In combination with the plug-in allowing arbitrary files
to be downloaded to a system, this can be exploited to execute
arbitrary code when a user e.g. visits a malicious website.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 3.0.0.5 and 3.5.0.0 Beta.
Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Disable the plug-in.
