TITLE:
4images Script Insertion and Local File Inclusion

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA35427

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/35427/

DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in 4images, which can be
exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information and
by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.

1) Input passed to the "user_homepage" parameter in member.php is not
properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert
arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site when a posted comment
is viewed.

2) Input passed via the "l" parameter to global.php is not properly
verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to
include arbitrary files from local resources via directory traversal
attacks and URL-encoded NULL bytes.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is
disabled.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 1.7.7.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.7.7.
