DESCRIPTION:
A security has been discovered in SonicWALL Global VPN Client, which
can be exploited by malicious, local user to gain escalated
privileges.
The problem is caused due to insecure default file permissions being
set on the installation directory "%ProgramFiles%\SonicWALL\SonicWALL
Global VPN Client". This can be exploited to gain escalated privileges
e.g. by replacing DLL or EXE files in this directory.
The security issue is confirmed in version 4.0.0.835. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Grant only trusted users access to affected systems.
