DESCRIPTION:
Ben Hawkes has reported a vulnerability in DotNetNuke, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.
Input passed to ErrorPage.aspx is not properly sanitised before being
returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML
and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected
site.
The vulnerability is reported in 4.9.3. Prior versions may also be
affected.
NOTE: A disclosure of version information via the error page has also
been reported by the vendor.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 4.9.4.
