WB News Insecure Cookie Handling Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
ThE g0bL!N has discovered a vulnerability in WB News, which can be
exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security
restrictions.

The vulnerability is caused due to improper access restrictions when
accessing the administrative interface. This can be exploited to
bypass the authentication mechanism and gain access to the
administrative interface by setting the "WBNEWS" cookie.

The vulnerability  is confirmed in version 2.1.2. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to the "admin/" directory (e.g. via .htaccess).
