IBM Access Support ActiveX Control "GetXMLValue()" Buffer Overflow

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in IBM Access Support ActiveX
Control, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the ActiveX
control (IbmEgath.dll) when parsing input to the "GetXMLValue()"
method. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow
via an overly long argument.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in version 3.20.284.0. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
