DESCRIPTION:
Gentoo has acknowledged a vulnerability in tmsnc, which can
potentially be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
MSN packets containing UBX commands, which can be exploited to cause
a stack-based buffer overflow by sending a specially crafted message
to a vulnerable client.
SOLUTION:
The vendor recommends to unmerge tmsnc and migrate to CenterIM or
Pebrot.
