DESCRIPTION:
IBM has acknowledged a security issue in IBM AIX, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to perform certain actions with
escalated privileges.

The security issue is caused due to the "rmsock" and "rmsock64"
commands creating log files in an insecure manner. This can be
exploited to e.g. append data to arbitrary files.

The security issue is reported in the AIX platforms 5.2, 5.3, and
6.1. Other versions may also be affected.

Apply fix or APARs.
