DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in the WEC Discussion Forum
(wec_discussion) extension for TYPO3, which can be exploited by
malicious people to conduct SQL injection and cross-site scripting
attacks.

1) Input passed to unspecified parameters is not properly sanitised
before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate
SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

2) Input passed to unspecified parameters is not properly sanitised
before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in the
context of an affected site.

These vulnerabilities are reported in versions 1.7.0 and prior.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.7.1.
