DESCRIPTION:
dmnt has discovered a vulnerability in RaidenFTPD, which can be
exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling
overly long requested directory names. This can be exploited to cause
a stack-based buffer overflow via e.g. a combination of specially
crafted "CWD" and "MLST" commands.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.4.3615. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted users only.
