DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Dns2tcp, which can be
exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and
potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to signedness errors within the
functions "dns_simple_decode()" in common/dns.c and "dns_decode()" in
server/dns_decode.c when processing specially crafted requests or
replies. This can be exploited to e.g. cause an out of bounds array
access and crash the service or potentially execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 0.4.1.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 0.4.1.
