IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
Open Media Collectors Database (OpenDb) 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/19712/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Open Media Collectors
Database (OpenDb), which can be exploited by malicious people to
conduct cross-site scripting and cross-site request forgery attacks.

1) Input passed to the "user_id" parameter in user_admin.php, to the
"title" parameter in listings.php, and to the "redirect_url" in
user_profile.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to
the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script
code in a logged in user's browser session in context of an affected
site.

2) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP
requests without performing any validity checks to verify the
request. This can be exploited to e.g. change the password of a
target user, who is tricked into visiting a malicious website.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.0.6. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised. Do
not browse untrusted websites while being logged on to the
application.
