CRITICAL:
Less critical

IMPACT:

WHERE:

SOFTWARE:
SoftCart 5.x
http://secunia.com/product/17391/

DESCRIPTION:
Russ McRee has reported some vulnerabilities in SoftCart, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.

Input passed to the "License_Plate", "License_State", "Ticket_Date",
and "Ticket_Number" parameters in SoftCart.exe is not properly
sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 5.1.2.2. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences using a web
proxy.
