DESCRIPTION:
Gentoo has acknowledged a security issue in Portage, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to disclose potentially sensitive
information.

The security issue is caused due to the "etc-update" application
creating certain files with the "umask" permissions of the user
running the application when merging configuration files, allowing
other users to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The security issue is reported in versions prior to 2.1.3.11.

SOLUTION:
Update to "sys-apps/portage-2.1.3.11"
