DESCRIPTION:
Blue Coat has acknowledged a weakness in multiple Blue Coat products,
which can be exploited by malicious, local users to disclose sensitive
information.
The problem is caused due to an error in the RSA implementation and
can be exploited to disclose private keys via side-channel attacks.
The weakness affects the following products:
* Proxy SG versions prior to SG 5.2.1.3 and SG 4.2.5.1 without a
hardware SSL accelerator
* Reporter prior to version 9.1
* Proxy AV prior to version 3.1.1.5
* Director (510 platform) prior to SGME 5.2.1
* Director (800 platform) prior to SGME 5.2.2.1
* SGClient
SOLUTION:
Update to the latest versions.
Proxy SG:
Update to SG 5.2.1.3 or SG 4.2.5.1.
Reporter:
The vendor will reportedly fix the weakness with the release of
version 9.1 (approximately January 2008)
Proxy AV:
Update to version 3.1.1.5.
Director(510 platform):
Update to SGME 5.2.1.
Director(800 platform):
Update to SGME 5.2.2.1 (will reportedly be released in December
2007)
SGClient:
The vendor will reportedly release a patch at a later time.
