DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Net-snmp, which can be exploited
by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to the incorrect handling of SNMP
GETBULK requests. This can be exploited to consume large amounts of
CPU and memory by sending a specially crafted SNMP GETBULK request
containing an overly large "max-repetitions" field.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 5.4.1.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 5.4.1 or later.
