DESCRIPTION:
L4teral has discovered some vulnerabilities in ILIAS, which can be
exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.

Input passed when sending mails or creating forum messages is not
properly sanitised before being stored. This can be exploited to
insert arbitrary HTML attributes to "a" HTML elements, which is
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
when the malicious data is viewed.

Successful exploitation requires that both the attacker and the
target user has valid user credentials. Exploitation without any user
interaction requires that the target user uses Internet Explorer.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 3.8.3. Other versions
may also be affected.
