DESCRIPTION:
Silentz has discovered some vulnerabilities in TaskDriver, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "username" and "password" parameters in login.php
and to the "taskid" parameter in notes.php (valid credentials
required) are not properly sanitised before being used in SQL
queries. These can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by
injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows bypassing authentication, but requires
that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.2. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
