DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in AIX, which can be exploited by
malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error in the
various mail services (pop3d, pop3ds, imapd, and imapds) during the
authentication process. This can be exploited under certain
circumstances to authenticate to the services when authentication
should be denied.
The vulnerability is reported in version 5.3.
