CRITICAL:

IMPACT:

SOFTWARE:
Cahier de Texte 2.x
http://secunia.com/product/12236/
DESCRIPTION:
DarkFig has discovered two vulnerabilities in Cahier de Texte, which
can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive
information.
1) Input passed to the "Fichier_a_telecharger" parameter in
administration/telecharger.php is not properly sanitised before being
used to display files. This can be exploited to display arbitrary
files via directory traversal attacks with an HTTP client that
doesn't follow redirects.
Successful exploitation allows retrieval of SQL connection details or
the database dump file, which includes administrator passwords.
2) The database dump file can be downloaded directly from
administration/dump.sql.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.2. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Restrict access to the "administration" directory.
