DESCRIPTION:
Core Security Technologies has discovered two vulnerabilities in ICQ
Toolbar, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script
insertion attacks.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to input validation errors in the
processing of the title and description fields in RSS feeds. This can
be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in
context of the RSS feed content by tricking a user into adding a
malicious RSS feed and then viewing the content of it.
It has also been reported that it is possible to trick a user into
changing various non-sensitive configuration settings.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.3. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not add RSS feeds from untrusted sources.
