DESCRIPTION:
Oliver Karow has reported a vulnerability in MaxDB, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in WebDBM when
processing database names. This can be exploited to cause a buffer
overflow via an HTTP request containing an overly long database
name.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code with
privileges of the "wahttp" process.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 7.6.00.22. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 7.6.00.31 or later.
