DESCRIPTION:
rgod has discovered some vulnerabilities in Jaws, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks
and SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "rss_url" parameter in
gadgets/RssReader/extras/magpierss/scripts/magpie_slashbox.php is not
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
2) Input passed to the "searchdata" form field parameter when
performing a search is not properly sanitised before being used in a
SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by
injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires that the "Search" gadget is
enabled.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 0.6.2. Prior
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 0.6.3.
