DESCRIPTION:
r0t has reported some vulnerabilities in Musicbox, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion and SQL
injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "term" paramter in index.php is not properly
sanitised before being returned to users. This can be exploited to
inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's
browser session in context of a vulnerable site when the recent
searches are displayed.
2) Input passed to the "start" parameter in index.php is not properly
sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to
manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 2.3 Beta 3. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
