DESCRIPTION:
matrix_killer has discovered a vulnerability in phpmyfamily, which
can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.
Input passed to the "name" parameter in "track.php" isn't properly
sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of an affected site.
Example:
http://[host]/track.php?person=00001&name=[code]&email=1&action=sub&submit=Wy%B6lij
It is also possible to disclose the full path to "index.php" by
accessing it with an invalid "PHPSESSID" cookie parameter.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.4.1. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
