CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting

WHERE:

SOFTWARE:
sBlog 0.x
http://secunia.com/product/8609/

DESCRIPTION:
Kiki has discovered multiple vulnerabilities in sBlog, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and
script insertion attacks.

1) Input passed to the "keyword" parameter in a HTTP POST request is
not properly sanitised by "search.php" before being used. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.

2) Input passed to the "username" form field when posting a comment
is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to
inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a
user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 0.7.2. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
